Yeh jo des - song of a life time

yes, the song "Yeh jo des hai tera' from swades is the song of my life time indeed. The way Rahman sings the song with unbridled Passion and straight from the heart , is some thing eternal Magic and the melody and the power of patriotism what he infuses in it is simply mindblowing.Shenai has been so splendidly used in this song and when he words " nahi nahi raaho mein " so innocently , MAN HE ROCKS and he is definitely the face of Indian music Globally or Atleast his version. Hats off to you and i feel really proud to be in the same era as his. thanks rahman for all these

phil's world poverty anthem!!!!!!

when the single ' pray for me brother' of rahman released, i think i could be one among the thousands of rahmaniacs who caught hold of the CD's from the racks during the first hour, which is the poverty anthem produced by rahman supported by U.N and A R RAHMAN FOUNDATION indicated the giant leap of the genius in to the world music scene, but the other prominent thing which crept into my mind is phil's ' another day in pradise' which is a brilliant song as well in its unique way , i quote the song as one of the most beautifully carved song in this century as it perfectly portraits the plight of homeless people as wiki refers it to be. when i first heard the song at the age of 12, i can hardly understand music, but this song had the magic potion to hit my heart and i understood what is the song for , without having ever watched the video, i found that the song had the power to melt and strike the right note, which conquered my top 10 list of ' the songs of the century' the gramy award winning song as it deserves it to be , is a perfect healer , soothes one's mind and soul and pampers your heart . one of the must haves in the racks ......
